Biography

Margaret Tyson is Karen's mother and so has 41 years of experience of caring for a person with learning difficulties. She has a doctorate in biology and a masters in population health. She has been an author on several scientific papers including Renehan et al (2008) Body mass index and incidence of cancer

She is an honorary researcher at the Institute of Cancer Studies, the University of Manchester and volunteer administrator of Manchester Amputee Fitness Initiative (Manfit).
